Terminal Information: 

 

Chennai International airport consists of two terminals:

Old and new terminals. The old terminal is now used by Blue Dart for its cargo operations. 

 

Passenger Terminal:

The new terminal at Pallavaram serves the passengers coming to Chennai. The passenger terminal complex consists of two terminals: the domestic one known as Kamaraj Terminal and the international one known as Anna Terminal. These terminals are connected via a link building, having administrative offices and a restaurant. The walking distance is just 20 minutes.

 

Domestic Terminal:

The domestic terminal is also known as Kamaraj Terminal. This terminal connects the Airport with 20 different destinations in India. 

 

International Terminal:

International Terminal also known as Anna Terminal connects to 20 destinations worldwide.

For the inter-terminal transfer, you will get the free shuttle service at the airport. From Chennai Airport there are the following transport options for travelers: 

 

By Train:

You can travel by train as here is the Tirusulam Railway Station. You just have to walk through the gate, down Great Southern Trunk Road, and then the underpass running beneath National Highway 45. It will take around 25-30 minutes to reach the Egmore station.

 

By Bus:

You can also go by bus if don’t want to pay much money for a taxi. There is a public bus stop that is located right just outside the gates of the Airport. To the airport, 18A operates between 5 am and 10 pm. Airport Bus No. 18B is air-conditioned that operates along the same route as 18A.

 

Hotel Shuttles:

Many hotels provide airport transportation services for their guests.

 

By Taxi:

There are prepaid taxis available to get into the city from the airport. In this way, you can reach your destination without being overcharged. These are available in the arrivals section at the Airport.
