Air India discontinued Air Suvidha forms for international passengers

As per the announcement by The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Sunday the self-declaration form that had to be filled in by incoming international passengers on the Air Suvidha portal, has now been discontinued.

The Air Suvidha was a form filled out by all the international passengers arriving in India explaining their current health status, recent travel details, and other personal information. It was done to track the Covid cases.

The action was implemented from Monday i.e. 21st November. The government announced that the move has been taken after seeing the decline in cases of coronavirus. However, this action will be reviewed, if needed, as per the prevailing situation.

The latest ministry guidelines on international travelers are as follows:

  • All travelers should be fully vaccinated as per the approved primary schedule of vaccination against Covid-19 in their country.
  • If there is any passenger has Covid-19 symptoms during travel shall be isolated and segregated from other passengers on flight/travel.
  • The de-boarding should also be done following social distancing.
  • Thermal screening should be done at the point of entry and if any passenger is found to be symptomatic shall be immediately isolated.
